Open Call
I am seeking submissions from emerging visual and media artists whose work explores the realities, histories, and afterlives of incarceration A.I. — particularly through the lenses of Feminist, Black, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ+, and Disability Arts practices.
This collective exhibition aims to bring together voices that challenge carceral narratives and reimagine liberation, accountability, and healing. Artists are encouraged to submit works that speak to personal, ancestral, or communal experiences with systems of confinement and resilience — whether through photography, video, mixed media, installation, or sound.
Eligibility:
- Artists who identify as Feminist, Black, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ+, or Disabled
- Artists working in visual or media-based forms
- Open to Canada-based and international submissions
To Apply, Please Submit:
- Artist Statement (250–300 words) outlining your practice and focus
- Project Statement (250–500 words) describing the submitted work(s) and how they relate to the theme
- 3–5 Work Samples (images, video links, or documentation)
- Short Bio (up to 150 words)
Compensation:
Selected artists will receive financial support and full exhibition credit for their participation.
